Centaurus set forth for the forest ahead, fighting off the very creatures that threatened his town. They swarmed around him in packs, but his skills as an expert archer paid off. One by one he would drop his assailants in cold blood.

Gohrahn Messenger: The reports were catastrophic on our end of the battle. We had sent armies into this neck of the woods, just to lose a bulk of our forces to some crazy centaur. I almost lost my life when I informed the leader of our misfortunes. Of course, that would’ve been better considering I lost something else dear to me. Some things just don’t grow back on a lizard, okay?

Shadow: His hunter ways were transforming. It was no longer about him showing off or finding food. It was about him getting comfortable with his bow and arrow. And comfort was something I knew he would find.

Life up to this point had been confusing, but acceptable for Centaurus. However, as the winds changed through his town, so had the circumstances of his life. Everything he knew and embraced had been altered into the forms of banishment, attacks by vile creatures, and an uncertainty of the future. His very being began to change. Centaurus had experienced genuine anger.

Shadow: He used his comfort to wreak havoc on those who stood in his way. A trail of blood followed him through the forest, all the way to his first major stop. I knew he was a step away from getting out of control. But I remained shadowed and silent.

Centaurus maintained enough of a grip on reality to keep his goals focused in the right perspective. But as his adventure continued, and his passions intensified, he began listening to the voices of the trees around him. One tree in particular led him south to a land of fire.

Alzahad: When I met Centaurus for the first time, I thought he was a freak. But he had a true ambition that screamed history books to me, so I decided that he was a freaky thing that needed my company. Of course, I was all alone in a burning forest, surrounded by fallen carcasses, and had no desire to be locked up in a fiery hut left to die, so that helped fuel my decision too. Did I leave anything out?
